Designing for Social Media

As Social Media Editor for Mustang News, I created weekly social native content, especially to be used on Instagram Stories. Mustang News focused on generating buzz about the publication itself, therefore creating name recognition and building trust with the reader. Facebook and Twitter were still used to generate shares and increase our reach. 

2018 Election

Graphics were released as election results were confirmed. Local and statewide races were both covered. Horizontal versions of all graphics were shared on Facebook and Twitter with appropriate copy.

Title IX Changes

Mustang News wanted to deliver information to the readers, but also gauge their response. Simple text-only graphics help maintain consistent story views and polls receive high rates of engagement.

Horoscopes

Most Mustang News readers are either Millennials or Get Z-ers. To supplement news content and match other Instagram content, horoscope quizzes revealed which local mountain related to each sign.
